Playtime membership
Privacy Note
Effective October 12, 2026
This is a plain-words list of what Playtime keeps about you, and why. It covers the Playtime members area. The public pages of jazjames.com have their own tools, such as visit statistics, a newsletter form and a contact form.
1. What we keep
- Your account: your email address, your password (stored scrambled, so nobody can read it), and your plan and billing status.
- Your agreement: the date and time you accepted the membership terms.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We only keep the reference Stripe gives us, so we can match a payment to your account.
- What you add: any comments or reactions you leave.
- Activity: which member played, watched or opened a photo, video or audio file, and when.
2. Protecting the content
Playtime is private and made for its members. To protect it, photos and videos show a very faint code that is linked to your account, and we keep the activity record above. If something that should stay inside Playtime turns up somewhere else, the code and the record help us find which account it came from. This is the only reason we use them.
3. Who can see it
Only Jaz and the people who run Playtime can see your account details and activity. Other members cannot. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising. Playtime does not use advertising or third-party analytics.
To run the site we use a few services that handle data on our behalf: Supabase (accounts, the database and the files), Vercel (the website) and Stripe (payments). The site also loads its fonts from Google Fonts, and some posts embed YouTube videos.
4. On your own device
Your browser keeps you logged in and remembers short-lived file links so that photos and videos do not download again every time. Logging out or clearing your browser data removes them.
5. How long, and your choices
We keep this information while you are a member. You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete your account. When an account is deleted, its activity record and agreement record are deleted with it. Records the law requires us to keep, and payment records held by Stripe, may be kept for as long as required.
6. Questions
Write to contact@jazjames.com for anything about your information.
